Reports on softball tournaments ...

... held in the UK will normally be published in BSUK and BSF media, either through coverage by BSUK journalists or through information provided by tournament organisers or others. Entry to these tournaments means that teams recognise and accept that reports may be published.

It is also possible that photographic or video images will be taken at tournaments. Any participating player who does not wish his or her image to be published in connection with reports on the event or used to promote softball generally must notify the organisers in advance of the tournament.

The National Championships are special events that Teams aspire to compete in, and as such there are certain criteria that must be met - please see the Regulations page and the BSUK website.

* - Teams forming purely for SS Nationals must pay their BSF Affiliation with the entry fees.

Entry Fees -
Teams who enter and then withdraw AFTER the cut-off date for payment for a particular Tournament will have their fees returned at the discretion of the BSF Executive.

Teams MUST have paid their affiliation fees to BSF by 1st June to be eligible.

Brief Eligibility Rules:

Teams MUST send Representative to AGM
Teams MUST register on BSUK website by 1st June
Teams MUST pay Affiliation Fee to BSF by 1st June
Players MUST be rostered on the website to a Team by 1st August
Players MUST be eligible by the Roster Closing Dates 1st August
Teams MUST pay Fees in Full by the Closing Deadline 1st June

Dispensation for Nationals will ONLY be granted:

  • To GB Players in the year that they are in competition
  • In exceptional circumstances: i.e. missing the start of season through pregnancy, or prolonged injury preventing them from competing in 50% of a season or other extenuating circumstances
  • Please put forward your dispensation case by e-mail to BSF President and Liz Graham (first name . surname . britishsoftball.org) (BSF Exec) at least 3 weeks prior to the Nationals that it refers too - the BSF Exec decision is final
